Sprouts Summer Classes, offered by Burlington Recreation & Parks, provide preschool-aged children (ages 2–5) and their caregivers opportunities to explore and learn about nature through play, stories, crafts, songs, and hands-on activities. Each class is led by a certified Environmental Educator and is designed to foster curiosity, environmental awareness, and a love of the natural world.
Classes are held on Thursdays throughout the summer at various Burlington parks and recreation facilities, including Thataways Youth Center, City Park, Mayco Bigelow Community Center, Lake Mackintosh Park & Marina, and Guilford Mackintosh Park & Marina.
Program Details:
• Ages 2–5 with caregiver
• $5 per class
• Thursdays, June–August
• Session times: 9:30 AM and 10:45 AM
• Caregivers attend free
• Registration required for each individual class
• Locations vary by week
