Rearing2Read Summer Literacy Camps

Looking for a summer camp that builds confidence, literacy skills, and meaningful connections? Rearing2Read offers unique, farm-based literacy camps that combine reading, writing, and hands-on learning experiences in a supportive and engaging environment.

Based in Hillsborough, Rearing2Read is a nonprofit dedicated to improving children’s literacy through equine-assisted learning and interactive reading activities. Using the Horse Powered Reading® curriculum, campers engage their minds, bodies, and emotions to strengthen reading skills while building confidence and motivation.

🐴 Research shows that working with horses can have powerful therapeutic benefits for children—helping them develop focus, emotional awareness, and self-confidence.

Each camp session focuses on a different aspect of literacy while maintaining a fun, small-group atmosphere.
