What: I first heard the phrase "Proof of Mom" pic from the Busy Toddler blog. She explained here how, when asked to share a photo of her with her kids, she only had two options. That moment inspired her to coin the term "Proof of Mom Pic" and take more photos with her kids *and her* in them.
So many moms (myself included!) know the problem of so often being behind the camera and not in (m)any family photos. She explained her goal of “Proof of Mom” photos this way: “I’m busting my buns over here to make memories, but you know what? I want to be remembered in those memories too. I don’t think it’s selfish to say, 'I want there to be a record of me with my family.' In fact, I think it’s the opposite. I want my kids to have these pictures and to love them long after I’m gone. There she is! Look at Mom!.”
I want more moms to have those photos and memories, too. That is the heart behind this event.
"Proof of Mom" Pics - Katie Smith Photography will do 5 minute mini sessions to capture moms and their families for as little as $15 and up to $50 (depending on how many images you order).

We'll also have some family-friendly vendors so you can entertain the kids and add to the family fun while you're there for a photo:

- School of Music in Z Major LLC - Private Music Lessons (ages 5+), Group Music Classes (ages 10+), Special Program: Music FunTime! (ages 18 months - 7 years) – focusing on foundational music skills in a fun and interactive setting.
- Sweet Girl Bakes NC - Custom cookies, cookie decorating classes and kits
- MiniMusik (kindermusik) - Music and movement classes for littles
- BrightSide Care - BrightSide Care is a Pediatric Private Practice in Mebane that provides exceptional medical care along with timely autism evaluations.
- Marsh and Might Threadworks - Hand embroidered art
- A Child's Creative Curiosity - On site Kid's Crafting and take home kits
- Lani Kai Art - We lovingly create nature inspired art (original and prints) using high quality materials such as 100% cotton paper and archival paints and pigments. Florals and botanicals have been a major theme, but furry and feathered friends have started to make their debut as well as some very charming mother-child pieces. Also, some special items just for this event!
- Alamance County Libraries - Hear more about what all they do in the community and how you can plug in. Plus, books and fun!

- Cross Roads Presbyterian Church - We’re a little church with a big heart. Only ten minutes from the heart of Mebane, let the trees and the breeze witness to the God upon whom you can cast your burdens. Then come inside and make some friends before we raise our voices in praise, in worship and in our commitment to following Jesus’ command to love our neighbor.
