We are thrilled to be the Community Partner for June's POP (Power of Produce) Kids Club at the Downtown Mebane Farmers Market, happening Saturday, June 21st from 9-11am, at 102 E Ruffin St.
As your local resource for family-friendly fun, we are excited to bring even more fun to this event with a FREE scavenger hunt and craft for kids! We'd love to see you so please come by and say hi! Plus, if you haven't participated in the POP Club before, it is an incredible, FREE program.
It is a farmers market-based program designed for children ages 5–12. It offers an engaging and educational way for kids to learn about fruits and vegetables, local food systems, and healthy food preparation—all through fun, interactive experiences right at the farmers market.

Each month, kids dive into the full farmers market experience by:
- Talking directly with local farmers
- Exploring the market with engaging activities
- Buying local produce
- Trying new foods, including completing the Two-Bite Challenge, where kids earn a $5 voucher after trying two bites of a featured fruit or vegetable.
- Above, my daughter is trying mulberries at the May POP Club.
These POP vouchers empower kids to make their own healthy food choices by spending their vouchers directly with farmers and vendors at the market. It’s a fun and empowering way to build healthy habits and reduce picky eating—through exposure, encouragement, and excitement!
So grab the kids, bring your market bags, and head to the Downtown Mebane Farmers Market on June 21st! Come see our Macaroni KID booth for crafts, a scavenger hunt, and all the info you need to keep your family connected to local fun all year long!
