My Yoga Journey:
My love for yoga began over a decade ago, which included prenatal yoga during my pregnancy with my daughter. When my daughter was born, I eagerly sought Mommy & Me classes to continue our shared practice. Unfortunately after one class COVID shut down studios, so we had to improvise at home. While I cherished our living-room yoga adventures, I missed the camaraderie of other parents and the guidance of a structured class. Even before the studios shut down we had to drive far to those types of classes. And post COVID was no different.
That’s when I realized: If I couldn’t find these types of classes in my community, I’d create it. I became a certified yoga teacher and decided to focus on teaching kids, family, as well as mommy and me yoga classes, blending playful movement with evidence-based techniques to help families bond, communicate, and grow together. Now, I teach the classes I once longed for in spaces where parents and kids can unplug, connect, and celebrate the joy of movement.

For Parents & Caregivers:
- Stress relief: Guided relaxation and partner poses reduce tension.
- Bonding: Shared laughter and movement create lasting memories.
- Strength: Gentle flows rebuild core strength (perfect for lifting kids!).
For Families Together:

Try This at Home: 3 Easy Family Yoga Poses
- Partner Boat Pose: Sit facing each other with knees bent and soles of your feet touching the ground. Hold hands or wrists, then lift your feet off the ground together, pressing into the soles of each others feet. Straighten your legs, or keep them bent, keeping your feet connected.
- Mirror Me: Take turns leading silly movements for the other to copy.
- Gratitude Breath: Sit back-to-back, breathe deeply, and share one thing you love about each other.
A Final Note
Parenting isn’t about having it all figured out-it’s about leaning into the mess, finding calm in the chaos, and celebrating those tiny, magic moments. I’d love to help you and your crew create those connections through movement, laughter, and maybe a few wobbly boat poses!
See you on the mat!
